What is a Pendulum?

A pendulum is any item that hangs from a string or chain,  and is  used to find out information from your spirit guides on health,  wealth,  or relationships. Pendulums can also be used for diagnosis and healing.   A watch, or a piece of jewelry can be used as a pendulum. Even a washer on a piece of string!

Pendulums have been used as far back as ancient Egypt.   It is best to obtain the permission of the person that you are using the pendulum with or on. It is imperitive that you use your pendulums with good intentions.

It is a good idea to prevent other people from touching your pendulum. It is also a good idea to keep your pendulum clean (energy). Unless your pendulum contains kyanite or citrine, both of which have cleansing properties, and do not need additional cleansing.

How do I use my Pendulum?

First, I ground or center myself appropriately and start off with a short meditation and surround myself with the white light of God or of your specific higher power.   If you are left handed, use your left hand to dowse with the pendulum:  Shorten your pendulum chain to about 2 to 3 inches from the pendulum to your thumb and index finger.  Hold the chain with your thumb and index, and middle fingers - or what feels comfortable to you. The shorter the string, the faster the pendulum moves and the faster you will get your answers.

How to fo a "yes" "no" dousing:

Usually, when the pendulum swings left and right this can be interpreted as a "NO". If the pendulum swings front to back,, then this can be interpreted as a "YES". If your pendulum swings elliptically, clock-wise, counter-clockwise, or in some other gyration or even stays rigidly still, you must interpret this as best you can. Here's a hint:

Ask your pendulum something that is true:
Note what the response is. This will give you a "YES" answer.

Now ask your pendulum something that you know is not true:
Note what the response is. This will give you a "NO" answer.

I like to use specific pendulum charts, preferrably of my own design. For me, this alliviates any confusion as to which answers I am getting.
